Brown Betty Punch - Cocktail Recipe

Ingredients
- 12 oz of Brandy
- 2 1/4 cup of water
- 1/2 cup of brown sugar (alt: sugar)
- 4 whole of whole cloves
- 1 of cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp of grated nutmeg (alt: nutmeg)
- 1 of sliced lemon (alt: lemon)
- 48 oz of (4 bottles) bass pale ale (alt: kale)
- 1/4 tsp of ground ginger (alt: ginger brandy)
Instructions
Add the sugar, lemon slices, cloves, cinnamon stick, nutmeg, ginger and water to a large nonreactive saucepan set over medium-high heat. Stir frequently to dissolve the sugar. Let the mixture reach the boil, then turn the heat to medium, and simmer for 10 minutes. Add the brandy and ale and heat, but do not allow to boil.
