Tony Montana - Cocktail Recipe

Wondering how to make Tony Montana? Cocktail Builder will help!

Ingredients

  • 1 oz of simple syrup
  • Coca-Cola (alt: coke)
  • 1.5 oz of Light Rum
  • 1 of key lime (alt: lime citron liqueur)
  • 3 of fresh mint (alt: mint)

Instructions

First make a simple syrup. Do this by taking 2 cups of sugar and 2 cups of water and boiling them in a pot. Let the mixture cool and then pour it into a vessel with a spout for easy pouring. This mixture should last you a while.

Next, muddle the mint leaves, key lime wedges, and simple syrup (1 oz.)in a glass. What you are trying to do is get the oils from the limes and the flavor of the mint leaves to mix with the simple syrup.

Then add your 1 1/2 oz. of Light Rum, preferably Bacardi Superior. Follow that by adding ice to your glass (cracked ice if you have it). At this point shake or stir the mixture. Lastly add Coca-Cola to the glass and that should bring you to the top of the glass. Give it a quick stir and you're good to go!

Note: This recipe was designed to be served in a 9oz. rocks glass. Adjust accordingly to accommodate a larger glass.

There's your Tony Montana...essentially a Mojito (which is a classic Cuban drink) with a little Coke. Enough said. Enjoy!
